BUILDING A HOUSE FOR INCLUSION IN CIRCUS
Day for Professionals (Dutch spoken)
Much has been learned about diversity and inclusion, yet new experiences and questions continue to challenge us. What does this mean for the circus sector? Following four successful theatre editions of Building a House for Inclusion, Bijlmer Parktheater is expanding the programme. It’s the circus sector’s turn! This knowledge-sharing day brings together people with lived experience and cultural professionals from within and beyond circus to discuss representation, inclusivity and intersectionality in the Dutch circus sector. Building on existing knowledge and experience, participants will take concrete steps forward. The day concludes with an exclusive preview performance of Oblivious by House of Circus for participants.
The programme is initiated by Bijlmer Parktheater in collaboration with TENT, Circuspunt and Boost Producties and part of This is not a circus, 27 jan-30 jan 2027 in Amsterdam. Tickets via www.thisisnotacircus.nl (from Nov 9 onwards).
